Women's Ministries

American Baptist Women’s Ministries provides opportunities for women to: become and develop as God’s person, build God’s faith community, and serve God’s world.
All women are invited to attend ABW meetings. For more information about ABW opportunities at First Baptist, contact the church office.

ABW circles

Ethel Naudin Circle
Meets at 10 a.m. the second Saturday of the month.

Friendship Circle
Meets at 6:30 p.m. the first Thursday of the month.

Stitches for Christ
Meets weekly at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mary and Martha room.
The group's mission is to provide crocheted items for those in need (including the FBC congregation, shut-ins, babies, nursing home residents, SHALOM, and the annual Santa Shop).

ABW projects

  • Collect Box Tops for Education, to benefit the Dayton Christian Center.
  • Collect aluminum pull tabs, to benefit Ronald McDonald House Chairites.
  • Support for Church Women United; donation of used clothing and new socks and underwear for the clothing depot.
  • Support for American Baptist Women's Ministries of Ohio state project.
  • Support for three national missionaries.
  • Support for a scholarship student engaged in Christian work.
  • Sponsor annual christmas breakfast.
  • Participate annually in ABW Sunday.
  • Sponsor a family at Christmas with gifts and food.
  • Contribute to special needs projects.
