What is MOPS?

MOPS is a Christian-based organization for mothers. It encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. Learn more here »

Do I have to be the mom of a preschooler to attend?

No. The MOPS group at First Baptist Church of Middletown welcomes moms of all school-age children.

When does MOPS meet?

MOPS offers two chances per month to meet: 9:30 to 11 a.m. the first Friday of the month at The Oaks Community Church (starting Sept. 7, 2018), and 6 to 7:30 p.m. the third Thursday of the month at First Baptist Church of Middletown (map & directions here »).

What can I expect at a typical meeting?

Most meetings have a theme and discussion through video or a live speaker. You'll join with other moms to laugh and share advice. You'll also enjoy some fun activities, either through crafts, games and activities or just chatting over a cup of coffee.

Is there a cost to be part of MOPS?

Membership is $50/year ($31.95 goes to MOPS International & $18.05 goes to local meetings). Scholarships are available on a limited basis.

Why should I be a part of MOPS?

Because motherhood is both a joyful and frustrating job! By being a part of the MOPS group at FBC, you can enjoy time with other moms through food, fellowship, guest speakers and discussion groups. Childcare is provided!

Who can I contact for more information?
