First Baptist Church practices believers’ baptism, which means those who have publicly professed a desire to be a follower of Jesus can be baptized. We have a baptismal pool in our sanctuary, and people are baptized in it by full immersion.
People who are interested in being baptized are invited join Pastor Scotty at the front of the sanctuary on Sunday during the hymn of invitation. This is the final hymn of the Sunday morning worship service (as noted in the bulletin). Once your desire to be baptized has been made known, you and Pastor Scotty will have a chance to talk about a date for this special occasion, as well as other details related to your baptism.

Because we practice believers’ baptism (see above), we do not baptize babies. Instead, parents may choose to have their baby dedicated at First Baptist. If you’re interested in having your baby dedicated, click here for more information »
